When it comes to routine chores such as laundry or dish washing, you may have thought that using extra soap would make things cleaner, but it could be doing the opposite. Help out your pocket book, machines, and belongings with these tips!
Here are some simple steps that you can follow to get your things cleaner with less!
- Make sure to check your containers instructions. Most soaps are extremely concentrated, so a little goes a long way. From dishes to laundry, this tip is the most effective!
- When rinsing dishes only worry about big caked-on chunks. With clean plates in the dishwasher, the soap isn’t as effective and can leave a residue. Add a splash of vinegar for an even better clean!
- Too much laundry detergent causes clothes to be stiff and causes buildup in the machine. It also prevents your rinse cycle from rinsing all the soap away. This causes fading and makes colors appear dull.
- TEST IT- with load of laundry, don’t use any soap and once the cycle starts check. You may be surprised what you see!!
Let us know if this worked for you! We’ve tested it and now only use way less detergent, dish soap, and less of most everything! It’s true that sometimes less is more! So start saving money, your belongings, and living healthier!
